Sewing July Sew-Far

Let's just start off by saying that I haven't made anything I would wear out of the house this week as I've been making fitting toiles. One from a self-drafted pattern and another from the Sew Over It pattern collection, namely the ZOE Dress.I made the size a bit too big, but I did do this on my measurements and I'm not familiar with Lisa adding a lot of ease into her patterns.

I might have to do a bit of grading and adjusting the pattern for a better fit on this because the in-seam pockets are too low and the shoulders just hang off me in their pre-sleeve state.
I'm not sure how to do that without taking it off the end of the shoulder, and because I'm not a massive fan of sewing inset sleeves in I might struggle at this part, is it possible to grade around the arms??

I'll ask the oracles on Facebook for the answer.

This is my drafted pattern made out of a brown fitted sheet. It was too small for either of the beds in my house so I unpicked the corners and took the elastic out of the casings and have stashed that for a later time.
On the pattern, I have extended the darts from the waist unto the hip so it's a bit smoother and raised the apex on the bust dart so it doesn't look so pointy. I may need to have research curved darts.

Most of the fabrics that I have in my drawers are all a bit precious so I have a 10mtr roll of polyester twill that I like to toille from. However, I think it has a slight bit of stretch, going forward I am going to invest in bulk purchasing some calico. The polyester twill was used for the SOI ZOE DRESS. I have a lot of fabrics that I would like to use that are utterly gorgeous and would change the whole style of the dress. I'm thinking of one fabric that would look cute and I might fully line the dress to give it that extra professional look.

I also made the TATB Coco Dress, but lengthened it to make a maxi dress. The material I used was lycra rib and it's too heavy for itself so on the shoulders it seems to be pulling, i forgot to add the stay tape across the shoulders. I may need to draft the smaller pattern for this too because it's too big all over, especially the arm hole.
I have very thin arms and shoulders and then a large bust and a bit more of a belly, I wish my belly was as thin as my arms suggest it could be, but in affect I am a UK retail size 8 which has put a bit of weight on and become a 14-16. The weight has gone everywhere but my arms.

I'm slimming at the minute by just making better decisions on portion sizes and what I consume as a whole but while I've been doing this my patterns that I have drafted have become large for me already.

The TATB Coco Dress has become a maxi shirt and I will be putting the elastic in once I have I have ironed the waistband down onto itself and created the casing.
